President Salome Zurabishvili has reacted publicly to the ongoing processes in the country via several posts on social media.
She calls the attack on the TV Pirveli crew “terror” and notes that Georgian Dream no longer hides its true face.
“Terror in Georgia: The cruel regime of Georgian Dream no longer hides its true face, even on live broadcasts.
“Unbelievable and growing terror against the media – violence against the media and brutal beatings of journalists who are just doing their job!” – wrote the President.
In addition, Salome Zurabishvili mentions in another post:
“Terror in Georgia: tonight the Russian regime is back in Tbilisi – chasing civilians in the streets when they run away from terror, targeting kidnapped politicians, media, artists … breaking down the doors of opposition offices in order to carry out raids and brutal raids on politicians,” the president notes.
Also, Salome Zurabishvili writes:
“Unbearable to watch, indisputable evidence – and yet no response from the police or responsible authorities. I call on the Ministry of Internal Affairs to immediately take measures for the brutality on the street and immediately arrest the perpetrators.”
In another post, the President notes:
“Day 10: Georgian people once again had their say. The fight for the future continues. No regime can resist the will of the people, no matter what means they use. It would be good if Georgian Dream remembered this.”
