“Two nations. Two cultures. One unforgettable celebration” – NGO Cultural Diversity for Peaceful Future (CDPF), in cooperation with the Embassy of India in Georgia, will host an Indo-Georgian cultural festival in Tbilisi to mark India’s 80th Independence Day.
The event, titled “Namaste Sakartvelo,” will take place on August 15 at Mziuri Park, starting at 17:00.
The celebration will feature cultural performances by Indian and Georgian artists, showcasing the traditions and heritage of both countries. Guests will also have the opportunity to enjoy an Indo-Georgian Street Food Festival with authentic dishes from India and Georgia.
The organizers say the event aims to promote cultural exchange, friendship, and unity between the two nations. The celebration is open to the public.
Diplomatic relations between Georgia and India were established in 1992. Since then, the two countries have expanded cooperation in various fields, including economy, tourism, education, and culture.
India remains one of Georgia’s important partners in cultural exchange, with events such as “Namaste Sakartvelo” highlighting the historical and people-to-people connections between the two nations.
