At 20:00, all polling stations across Georgia officially closed. The Central Election Commission (CEC) says the voting process was held in a calm environment.
At a briefing earlier in the day, the CEC reported that by 17:00 a total of 1,175,817 voters had cast their ballots, amounting to 33.5% of registered voters.
Today’s elections were held to elect mayors and municipal councils across the country, covering 64 municipal districts.
