Georgia exported 4,200 tons of bay leaves worth $17.3 million in the first six months of 2026, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture says.
Compared to January-June 2025, export volume increased by 27%, or 896 tons, while export value rose by 23%, or $3.3 million.
The average export price reached $4.1 per kilogram during the reporting period.
China remained the largest export market, accounting for 73% of Georgia’s bay leaf exports, followed by Russia with 15%, the ministry said.
