The Delegation of the European Union to Georgia has launched the European Cine Tour, a new initiative promoting European cinema across Georgia, with the opening event taking place in Batumi ahead of Europe Day celebrations.
The tour opens on July 10 at Cavea Cinema, Grand Mall Batumi, with two special screenings. The film is suitable for all audiences. At 19:00, the program will continue with Mother and Daughter, or the Night Is Never Complete, a documentary by Georgian film director Lana Ghoghoberidze.
The opening event will be attended by Pawel Herczyński, Ambassador of the European Union to Georgia, and Lana Ghoghoberidze.
Admission to all screenings is free. The event will take place at Cavea Cinema, Grand Mall Batumi, located at 29 Sherif Khimshiashvili Street.
Following its launch in Batumi, the European Cine Tour will travel to various cities across Georgia. A week-long program in Tbilisi is planned for September, while the tour will conclude in Telavi in October as part of Europe Day celebrations.
Throughout the tour, audiences will have the opportunity to meet film directors and other members of film crews. The European Cine Tour is organized in partnership with the Cinema Art Centre Prometheus, the Contemporary Film Museum, and the Tbilisi International Festival of Literature.
