Employees of Adjara Television have been dismissed as part of a reorganization, Mediachecker reports.
Irina Kurua, Maia Merkviladze, Teona Kharabadze, Levan Uridia, and Salome Gegeshidze all received emails today notifying them that their employment contracts had been terminated as part of the restructuring.
“I checked my email just a few minutes ago and saw I had received an email saying that my employment contract had been terminated as part of the reorganization. I don’t know anything more at this stage,” said Adjara Television employee Maia Merkviladze.
“We all received the same email… During the reorganization process, for three months, the majority of employees have not been at work, only News is working, so I can’t say exactly who received additional information about the dismissal,” said Adjara Television employee Teona Kharabadze.
The director of the Public Broadcaster Adjara Television and Radio has not yet commented.
