The United Kingdom has expanded its sanctions list against Russia, adding three Georgia-based companies accused of helping Moscow evade international restrictions, British government announced.
In a statement, the UK government said it had introduced 18 new sanctions targeting crypto and illicit financial networks allegedly assisting Russia in circumventing sanctions.
The newly expanded sanctions list includes entities from Russia, the UK, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, the United Arab Emirates, Panama and El Salvador.
“We are also targeting three Georgian companies operating Russia-focused exchanges seeking to evade sanctions,” the UK government said.
Based on a document published by the British government, sanctions were imposed on the following Georgia-based companies: Arvix LLC, Rapira Group LLC and Aifory LLC.
