Two public schools in Kareli Municipality have not registered any first-graders for the upcoming school year, while seven other schools have fewer than five new pupils, local publication Qartli.ge reports.
The Kareli Education Resource Center told Qartli.ge that no first-graders were registered at Avlevi and Gverdzineti public schools this year.
The number of first-graders is also below five at Kheobia, Bredzi, Kvemo Khvedureti, Abano, Atotsi, Tamarasheni and Knolevi public schools.
A total of 402 children have been registered as first-graders in Kareli Municipality schools this year. Kvenatkotsi Public School has the highest number of registered first-graders.
Online registration for first-graders ended on July 3.
