Traffic at Rikoti Pass again limited

default

Traffic movement has been limited again for all motor transport at the Rikoti Pass of the Tbilisi-Senaki-Leselidze highway of international significance due to landslides, the Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure reported.

Except for trucks and semi-trailers, all traffic will use the Gomi-Sachkhere-Chiatura-Zestafoni route.

When the road has been cleaned, movement will resume in special mode, the agency said.

The section of Rikoti was closed after March 30, and traffic was carried out through the Gomi-Sachkhere-Chiathura-Zestafoni highway. Traffic on Rikoti was restored on April 8 and was again prohibited today.
