Average restaurant meal prices in Georgia rose by 7.6% year-on-year in May 2026, the National Statistics Office of Georgia says.
Official data shows price increases across several popular restaurant items. Khinkali in restaurants became 4.5% more expensive year-on-year in May.
Khachapuri saw sharper increases, rising by 11.6% in cafes and by 9.8% in bakeries compared to May last year.
Beer prices in bars increased by 10.5%, while coffee in cafes rose by 6.2% annually.
Overall inflation in May stood at 0.3% compared to the previous month, while annual inflation reached 5.7%. The agency says food prices were the main driver of inflation, rising by 5.2% in the same period.
