Lottery to be Launched to Encourage Vaccinated People

Giorgi Gibradze, Chief of the Operational Staff

A lottery will be launched on Monday, September 13, to encourage vaccinated individuals, Giorgi Gibradze, Chief of the Operational Staff at the Interagency Coordination Council, announced today.

He noted that “on a random basis, the lottery company will raffle cash prizes for vaccinated people daily.”

“The total prize fund will be 2 million 800 thousand GEL. The lottery will be held on a daily basis until the end of the year. In addition to the daily raffle, there will be a weekly summary raffle. There will be various prizes starting from 100 GEL:

“100 and 500 GEL will be offered daily; 1000, 1500, 5000 and 10 000 GEL will be raffled weekly, and a final raffle will be held at the end of the year with a prize of 100 thousand GEL,” Gibradze said.

He added that the amount for the lottery will be allocated from the budget and any citizen who has been vaccinated at least once will take part in it.

As of 6 September, only 17% of the adult population in Georgia have been fully vaccinated.
