Levan Zhorzholiani, Head of the Government Administration, updated the public on efforts to restore crucial services in storm-hit Guria.
“Over 80% of municipal roads have been cleared, and we’ve made significant strides in restoring electricity,” he stated, emphasizing ongoing efforts to soothe the situation.
By the later hours of February 27, power had been restored to 29 out of 35 affected households, whereas more than half of those initially disconnected from gas services had their supply resumed.
The government task force is still clearing roads, restoring electricity and gas, and delivering food and medical goods to affected residents. “We have accessed central areas in many villages and established direct communication with locals to ensure aid reaches those in need,” Zhorzholiani explained.
He also noted that of the 1,300 gas subscribers initially cut off, more than half have had their supply restored. “All resources are fully mobilized, and coordination remains strong,” he added.
