Irakli Pavlenishvili has been elected head of the Governing Council of the opposition United National Movement (UNM).
The decision was made at the party’s congress.
The newly elected Governing Council also includes Petre Tsiskarishvili, Ani Tsitlidze, Giorgi Chaladze, Lasha Parulava, Giorgi Botkoveli, Levan Bezhashvili, and imprisoned party member Irakli Nadiradze.
Former UNM Chair Tina Bokuchava declined to participate in the work of the Governing Council, said Levan Bezhashvili. He said Bokuchava will remain a member of the party’s Political Council.
