Hadron Therapy Center Construction Launched in Kutaisi

Construction of the hadron therapy center has officially been launched in Kutaisi, Imereti region.

Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, Education and Science Minister Mikheil Chkhenkeli, Chief Executive Officer of the Kartu Charity Foundation Nikoloz Chkhetiani, Kutaisi International University Rector Aleksandre Tevzadze and the CEO at Ion Beam Applications SA., Pierre Mottet attended the event.

In 2024, the Hadron Therapy Center will begin accepting patients.

Ion Beam Applications S.A. (IBA) develops and installs proton therapy medical equipment for radiation therapy. The Company is also engaged in the radiation Dosimetry field and develops particle accelerators for the medical world and industry.
