One person has been charged with selling 19 tons of expired and potentially hazardous frozen meat products in Georgia, the Ministry of Finance Investigation Service said.
The investigation found that the individual bought the products from a foreign citizen, stored them at a cold storage facility in Tbilisi, and later moved them to a meat shop for sale.
The Investigation Service said a large quantity of expired products was seized as evidence from the store and the cold storage facility belonging to the defendant.
