The National Environmental Agency has launched a mobile application that provides users with weather forecasts and early warnings about expected hydrometeorological hazards.
The METEO.GOV.GE app is available for both Android and iOS devices.
The agency says the application currently provides warnings for up to three days in advance. Alerts cover hazardous weather conditions including strong winds, heavy rain, thunderstorms, heavy precipitation, and high nighttime temperatures.
The agency says the platform is designed to help citizens receive timely information and prepare for potentially dangerous weather conditions.
