The Ministry of Infrastructure of Georgia announced that the Roads Department of Georgia has completed the rehabilitation of a bridge over the Alazani River, located at the 10th kilometer of the Zemo Khodasheni, Alaverdi, Kvemo Alvani road.
Originally built in the 1980s, the bridge has gone through a series of upgrades to improve safety and durability. The reconstruction works included the installation of safety barriers, concrete parapets, railings and pedestrian sidewalks.
Officials say the completed project enhances both safety and comfort for vehicles and pedestrians using this section of the road, which connects main settlements in the Kakheti region.
The total cost of the rehabilitation amounted to 1,096,500 GEL.
