Bidzina Kulumbegov: 60% of Our Population is Completely Unprotected against New Wave of Covid

60% of our population is completely unprotected against a new wave of covid. Results will be visible in 2-2.5 months. Instead of complaining, it is better to get vaccinated, -allergologist-immunologist Bidzina Kulumbegov posted on his Facebook page.

He called on the population to get vaccinated ahead of the expected fifth wave.

“Georgia: 16.5% of the population had been through Covid (613 thousand people), seroprevalence studies conducted in the world show that this figure actually doubles at the expense of the undiagnosed and asymptomatic, so the real figure with us will be about 30-35%; 21% of the population got vaccinated, I do not have accurate information, but I doubt it. 80% is the people who have already been affected with Covid and looked into the eyes of the virus. It turns out that 60% of our population is completely unprotected against a new wave of covid, results will be visible in 2-2.5 months. Instead of complaining, it is better to get vaccinated and do not allow the next wave in our country,” posted Bidzina Kulumbegov.
