The voting process in Armenia’s parliamentary elections has ended, with polling stations across the country closed and vote counting now underway.
At 21:00, the Central Election Commission (CEC) is expected to publish the final voter turnout figures.
Polling stations opened across Armenia at 08:00 local time and closed at 20:00.
More than 2.4 million voters were eligible to take part in the vote, which will determine the composition of the 101-seat National Assembly. 18 political forces — 16 parties and two party blocs — are competing for seats in the 9th convocation of Armenia’s National Assembly. The threshold for entering parliament is 4% for parties and 8% for party blocs.
International observers, including the OSCE, monitored the vote.
