The National Environment Agency has warned residents of Georgia that thunderstorms are expected.

On September 2-3, thunderstorms will be strong in some places, with strong westerly winds and the chance of hail. There will be a 4-5 magnitude storm at sea. Air temperatures will decrease significantly in western Georgia.

Expected heavy rains may cause floods on small rivers throughout Georgia, and landslides in the mountainous areas of the country.
