An international conference titled “Girls’ Path in Technology – From Education to Leadership” was held in Tbilisi, organized by UN Women with the support of TBC Bank.
The conference was conducted in partnership with Business and Technology University (BTU) and Tegeta Holding, with the support of the Government of Denmark.
The event brought together ambassadors from the European Union and various countries, international speakers, representatives of academia, the private sector, business associations, civil society and international organizations, as well as technology industry professionals, startup founders, women entrepreneurs, innovators, and students.
The conference featured thematic sessions focused on the importance of equality and inclusion in technology, the role of diverse teams in driving innovation and business success, as well as the challenges and barriers women face in the tech industry due to gender stereotypes. Discussions also highlighted practical approaches to overcoming these barriers and shared successful international and local examples.
As the region’s leading financial institution and a tech company, TBC Bank continues to support the empowerment of women in technology by fostering an innovation-driven environment and promoting professional growth opportunities.
The company believes it is essential for the technology sector to be a space where women can fully realize their potential, demonstrate leadership, and drive meaningful change. Diverse teams, fresh perspectives, and a people-centered culture are among the key forces that transform innovation into real impact.
