საქართველოს ეროვნული AI ნაკრების ტრიუმფი IOAI 2026-ზე: 2 ოქრო, 3 ვერცხლი, 2 ბრინჯაო და საპატიო სიგელი

Georgia’s National Artificial Intelligence Team has achieved an outstanding result at the 3rd International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI 2026), winning seven medals and one Honorable Mention and ranking seventh among 109 participating countries. The team’s participation and preparation were supported by TBC, the main supporter of Georgia’s technology Olympiads.

The Georgian team won two gold, three silver and two bronze medals, as well as one Honorable Mention, at the international competition, which was held in Astana, Kazakhstan.

The Georgian team’s medal winners are:

Gold

  • Nikoloz Gegenava — V. Komarov Tbilisi Physics and Mathematics Public School No. 199
  • Giorgi Maisuradze — V. Komarov Tbilisi Physics and Mathematics Public School No. 199

Silver

  • Nikoloz Kipshidze — Public School No. 136
  • Anton Ingorokva — V. Komarov Tbilisi Physics and Mathematics Public School No. 199
  • Mate Rekhviashvili — V. Komarov Tbilisi Physics and Mathematics Public School No. 199

Bronze

  • Luka Berikelashvili — V. Komarov Tbilisi Physics and Mathematics Public School No. 199
  • Nikoloz Kiladze — V. Komarov Tbilisi Physics and Mathematics Public School No. 199

Honorable Mention

  • Giorgi Tskitishvili — V. Komarov Tbilisi Physics and Mathematics Public School No. 199

The national AI team underwent several months of intensive preparation for the competition with the support of TBC and under the organisation of the Georgian Artificial Intelligence Association (GAIA). The team trained at the Technology Olympiads Hub, established at the Business and Technology University (BTU), where participants followed GAIA’s specialised Olympiad programme.

As part of the program, the students developed practical skills in artificial intelligence, machine learning and data science, preparing them to compete against some of the strongest young technology talents from around the world.

The team was coached by Shota Elkhanishvili, with Luka Darsalia and Nika Mikaberidze serving as co-leaders.

IOAI is one of the world’s leading international competitions for school students in artificial intelligence, bringing together talented young people from more than 100 countries. Georgia participated in the Olympiad for the second time this year, and the team’s strong performance marks an important milestone in the development of AI education and talent in the country.

For TBC, supporting education and the development of Georgia’s technology ecosystem is a strategic priority. The company continues to support initiatives that give young people access to cutting-edge technologies, help them develop practical and future-oriented skills, and prepare them to compete successfully on the international stage.

The Georgian team’s achievements at IOAI 2026 once again demonstrate the potential of the country’s young generation and the importance of sustained investment in technology education. For TBC, supporting such initiatives is part of its broader commitment to helping develop the talent and skills that will shape Georgia’s future.

I’ve also corrected the structure so TBC appears prominently in the headline/deck and opening paragraph, rather than being introduced only after the students’ achievements. This is more suitable for an online news portal while still reading as editorial content rather than an advertisement.
