An artificial intelligence infrastructure center has opened in Armenia’s city of Hrazdan with NVIDIA technology and infrastructure from Dell Technologies, NVIDIA said.

The facility was built by Firebird and was officially opened on August 8. The company says the center is the largest facility of its kind in the CIS region. Firebird plans to increase AI infrastructure capacity in Armenia to 300 megawatts by the end of 2027.

The US Embassy in Armenia welcomed the opening, describing it as a tangible example of growing US-Armenia cooperation.

“The opening of the facility is a tangible example of the growing partnership between the United States and Armenia, building on the momentum of the August 8, 2025 Washington Peace Summit and three important memorandums signed between the US and Armenia.” Acting US Ambassador to Armenia David Allen said the agreements include cooperation to promote innovation in artificial intelligence and semiconductors.

The US Embassy said the investment will bring advanced American technology and AI infrastructure to Armenia and help position the country as a regional center for data centers, cloud technologies and artificial intelligence.

“A $4 billion investment will bring the latest American technologies and artificial intelligence infrastructure to Armenia,” the embassy wrote.

Firebird co-founder Alexander Yesayan said the company’s broader global plan is to develop around 2 gigawatts of AI infrastructure. Armenia, Kazakhstan and other emerging markets are included in the company’s plans.

The Armenian AI project has been developed through cooperation between the Armenian government, NVIDIA, Firebird and other technology partners. The project is intended to support innovation, education, science and entrepreneurship and strengthen Armenia’s position as a regional technology hub.
