The performance “Rendez-vous” will be staged in Tbilisi on July 11–12 as part of the Tbilisi International Theater Festival.
The production brings together director and designer James Thierrée, along with Victoria Thierrée-Chaplin, Aurélia Thierrée, and Jean-Baptiste Thierrée, forming a family-led artistic project rooted in theater, circus, and music hall traditions.
The performance is described as a journey through fragments of memory and past creations, where the artists revisit earlier works through a symbolic photo album and an imaginative narrative.
Aurélia Thierrée said in an interview with cultural magazine Omnia that the production is currently being rehearsed as a family collaboration.
“We are rehearsing a new family production — my brother, my parents, and I. It has been many years since we last worked together like this — wish us luck,” she said.

She also reflected on her background in traditional circus performance, describing it as a discipline-based art form shaped by constant rehearsal and collaboration.
“My parents initially worked in traditional circus, although I was still very young when we stopped performing in that context. However, we often visited different circuses. The circus demands discipline — everyone rehearses under the main tent, and you can learn something from each performer. The circle — both physical and metaphorical — defines the circus,” she said.
