PM: Strong police force is necessary for the progress of our state

The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili, said in his speech at the Police Day ceremony that protecting the interests of the country and the people, the security of each citizen, and a strong and constantly developing police force is a necessary condition for the strength and progress of the state.

“I am proud of the Georgian police, I am proud that our police is exactly like this. Today, when our country, our people, and the government strengthen our state together, we strive to create a modern, European state, we can safely say that we already have truly European standards. Modern and most importantly, highly professional police,” he stated.

Today, on May 31, Georgia celebrates the professional day of the police. In connection with the occasion, a solemn event is taking place in front of the administrative building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
