The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili spoke about Levan Ioseliani, a candidate for the position of Public Defender, noting he will have the support of the majority of MPs.
“We, the majority, decided from the outset that we would not suggest a candidate, but that we would support the candidate the opposition agreed on. I think Levan Ioseliani’s candidacy is absolutely acceptable to us; he is a worthy candidate. Of course, in the end, the parliament, the majority, decides. I think our support for him will be provided. This is my opinion. Since I know what opinion the majority has, I share mine,” stated Garibashvili.
