People who had been infected with coronavirus can get vaccinated after 1 month, stated Amiran Gamkrelidze, director of the National Center for Disease Control.

After getting the infection, 120 days are allowed for vaccination. This week it will change and be reduced to 30 days. So everyone can get vaccinated faster. The minister’s order will probably be signed this week,” Gamkrelidze said.

He also noted from all vaccinated people  0,8% got infected with the coronavirus. There have been 12 cases of deaths among people who had single vaccination, no deaths have been reported among fully vaccinated people up until July 5, although research is underway on 2 people.

Georgia reported 2616 coronavirus cases, 880 recoveries, and 26 deaths on Tuesday.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 7.19 %, while it was 4.77 % in the past 14 days.
