“If we get vaccinated at such a pace, there is to be coronavirus forever,” said Paata Imnadze, deputy head of the National Center for Disease Control.

As he noted, there will be more waves of the virus. Imnadze noted that the virus may end in other countries, but if we continue to vaccinate at such a rate in Georgia, the virus will not go anywhere. He added that when the number of cases of the virus decreases, it is at least 2,000-3,000, and not as it was before, it decreases to hundreds of cases. Restrictions are not going to be implemented, the economy will work, especially people at high risk should be vaccinated.

“99% of the dead are unvaccinated, 1% are those who have been vaccinated twice, this is 57 people – the first is age. People die at my age in the first place,” Imnadze said.
