Customs control procedures have been fully restored at the Kazbegi customs checkpoint, the Revenue Service reports.

According to the agency, the movement of goods across Georgia’s customs border, as well as customs control procedures for individuals crossing the state border through the checkpoint, are being carried out without interruption in both directions.

According to the National Environmental Agency, the threat level in the Devdoraki Gorge has now been lifted. Following a visual inspection of the Devdoraki Gorge, specialists found no signs of slope collapse or rockfall activity on the glacier or in the surrounding area.

The evacuation was declared on August 13 after an alert was triggered by the early warning system in the Devdoraki Gorge. The Kazbegi customs checkpoint temporarily suspended operations, while traffic was also halted near Gveleti village.
