A presentation and tasting of Georgian wines was held in Berlin as part of the international wine competition Berliner Wine Trophy.
The event brought together wine journalists invited to the competition, representatives of the HoReCa sector and academia, as well as wine professionals. Guests had the opportunity to taste wines from different regions of Georgia.
The National Wine Agency said the event was followed by a reception for 130 members of the Berliner Wine Trophy international jury at a Georgian restaurant in Berlin.
The events were led by Ana Godabrelidze, Chair of the National Wine Agency’s State Tasting Commission, and Irakli Cholobargia, the Agency’s Events Organization Manager.
The National Wine Agency said the events aimed to showcase Georgia’s centuries-old winemaking culture, unique winemaking traditions and diversity of indigenous grape varieties to a professional audience.
Berliner Wine Trophy is one of the world’s most prestigious international wine competitions, bringing together wine producers, experts and tasters from around the world. Its international jury comprises oenologists, sommeliers, wine specialists and industry experts.
