Transferring the Georgian Dream MP as the Director of the House of Writers indicates that the control of this field will also be under Bidzina Ivanishvili, National Movement MP Tina Bokuchava said regarding the appointment of Ketevan Dumbadze as the head of the House of Writers.
“Ivanishvili is trying to have complete, absolute and unconditional control of all state and public spheres. We see this in the field of culture among them,” said Bokuchava.
From September 4, 2023, Ketevan Dumbadze will head the Georgian House of Writers. The order of the Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth of Georgia has already been issued.
According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, in the autumn session of 2023, the authority of Ketevan Dumbadze will be terminated as a Member of the Parliament of Georgia, according to the law.
