Nia Imnadze, who was arrested last night in connection with the Giga Avaliani case, remains hospitalized, say representatives of the St. Michael the Archangel Hospital.
The medical facility told InterpressNews that Imnadze is currently undergoing necessary treatment.
She reportedly became unwell during her detention and was transferred to the hospital, where she remains under medical supervision.
Earlier, Imnadze’s lawyer released video footage showing a large police presence outside her home during the operation, with noise and commotion at the scene.
Based on the available information, Imnadze was detained under Article 25/117(3)(l) of Georgia’s Criminal Code, which concerns incitement to intentional grievous bodily harm committed by a group.
Nia Imnadze is a former student of Giga Avaliani and the girlfriend of one of the main individuals convicted in the case.
