The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth of Georgia intends to establish a state research laboratory for works of art in Georgia.
The Ministry of Culture will establish a state laboratory, which will provide complex expert research on works of art in Georgia and the region and organize relevant research processes. Such services do not exist in Georgia today.
The laboratory is being established in cooperation with the Irakli Parjiani Foundation. Irakli Parjiani was a 20th-century Georgian artist, The Foundation was founded in 2020 by the artist’s daughter, Sopho Parjiani.
The goal of the foundation, along with the promotion of the artist’s work in Georgia and abroad, is to protect the artist’s copyright.
The memorandum of cooperation between the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth of Georgia and Irakli Parjiani Foundation was signed by the Minister of Culture, Tea Tsulukiani, and the Chairman of the Foundation Mikheil Jikia, which implies close cooperation between the parties in establishing a laboratory of works of art in Georgia.
