The law on “foreign influence” does not correspond to the values of the European Union. If the law comes into force, it will affect Georgia’s path to the European Union, – Josep Borrell, the EU High Representative for Foreign Policy and Security Affairs, wrote on X, where he summarized the results of the EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting held in Brussels.
“We will consider the EU’s response and make a decision at the Foreign Affairs Council in June. The October elections will be a test of Georgia’s commitment to its future in the European Union,” Borrell wrote.
