Gvantsa Jobava, International Relations Manager at the publishing house Intelekti, has been appointed Vice President of the International Publishers Association (IPA), the literary firm announced via social media. The IPA, founded in 1896, is an international union promoting publishing freedom and supporting its mission globally.

Jobava celebrated the career milestone on LinkedIn and released a statement expressing appreciation for the support of the international community in advancing her career.

“Now it is official! I’m meeting 2025 with unprecedented responsibility, anxiety, but I am ready! I’m very grateful to my country for teaching me a lot, for training me in the never-ending, daily struggles, and for guiding me to the beginning of this new, adventurous path,” the statement says.

Her new position is a significant achievement for Georgian literary processes.
