‘Georgian Amelioration’ has issued a warning to the population regarding an expected increase in water flow in the Iori River basin from June 19, caused by heavy rainfall.
The company says the Iori River is characterized by seasonal floods, and heavy precipitation may affect the capacity of irrigation canals, roads near the river, agricultural lands, and pastures.
“Please take into account the current situation and follow safety rules to avoid accidents and unwanted difficulties,” the statement reads.
Residents of Sagarejo, Gurjaani, Dedoplistskaro, and Tianeti municipalities are urged to exercise caution when moving near riverbanks, main canals, and hydrotechnical infrastructure.
