Georgia Reports 7521 New Cases, 31 Deaths

COVID: New Cases & Fatalities Up, President Urges Mandatory Vaccination for Risk Groups

7521 new cases of coronavirus have been registered in Georgia, 31 people have died, and 3160 people have recovered.

A total of 1,006,864 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Georgia since February 2020, of which 934,667 have recovered and 14,512 have died.

The newly confirmed cases are divided by region as follows:

4,171 cases were confirmed in Tbilisi, Adjara – 801, Imereti – 792, Kvemo Kartli – 285, Shida Kartli – 380, Guria – 193, Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti – 302, Kakheti – 263, Mtskheta-Mtianeti – 171, Samtskhe-Javakheti – 108 , Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti -55.

2,622,459 people have been fully vaccinated so far.

On January 17, 3656 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Georgia, 3066 patients recovered and 32 died.
