Georgia has officially qualified for FIBA EuroBasket 2025, after its sixth consecutive appearance in the tournament.
After a relatively bad start in the qualifiers with losses to Denmark and Serbia, coach Aleksandar Dzikic’s squad bounced back with three straight wins, getting their place with a 62-60 victory against Denmark on February 21 in Tbilisi.
Tornike Shengelia led the game, delivering a crucial double-double in the final win. Kamar Baldwin also played a significant role, averaging 22.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 5.5 assists in Georgia’s two wins over Finland.
With one game remaining against Serbia, Georgia joins Serbia and host nation Finland as the three teams advance from Group G.
