Tbilisi City Hall announced that crypts dating back to the 19th century were discovered underground during ongoing renovations on Tbilisi Tsereteli Avenue.
Archaeologists and Georgia’s National Agency for Cultural Heritage Protection are involved in the study and decision-making process.
Tbilisi City Hall states that the work is being done under specialists’ supervision and following the regulations. More details will be available soon.
