Coronavirus: Georgia Reports 147 New Cases, 5275 Tests Performed

Coronavirus: Georgia Reports 147 New Cases, 5275 Tests Performed

As part of intensive testing, 5,275 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 2,736 antigen tests and 2,539 PCRs.

Testing revealed 147 new cases of the virus.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number (64) new Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 28 cases, and the Shida Kartli region with 16 cases.

In the last 24 hours, 607 people recovered from the virus, and the total number of recoveries has increased to 262,244.

Unfortunately, 12 new cases of coronavirus-related deaths were reported in the last 24 hours.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 268,502, among them 262, 244 people recovered and 3447 died.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 2.79 %; 2.6% over the past week.

Presently, of 336 critical patients, 101 require mechanical ventilation.
