Important personnel changes have been made in Georgia’s Prosecutor’s Office, with new leadership named in Tbilisi and at the national level. Prosecutor General Giorgi Gabitashvili met with the new officials to discuss strategic priorities moving forward.

- Giorgi Gvarakidze has been appointed Tbilisi Prosecutor, having previously served as Deputy Head of the Special Cases Investigation Department. He has held various posts within the Prosecutor’s Office.
- Zurab Beltadze is the new Deputy Prosecutor General. The office noted his “nine years of experience in various positions” and his extensive legal background.
- Former Tbilisi Prosecutor Levan Gegechkori has been appointed to supervise procedural supervision of investigations across Georgia’s security institutions.
- Malkhaz Kapanadze will now lead the Investigation Procedural Management Department at the Special Investigation Service.
