A magnitude 4.4 earthquake struck Georgia on the morning of June 23 at 08:07 local time, reports the Institute of Earth Sciences and National Seismic Monitoring Center.
The agency reported that the earthquake’s epicenter was located in the village of Khonchiori, approximately 7 kilometers from Ambrolauri, the administrative center of Georgia’s Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti region.
There have been no immediate reports of casualties or significant damage. Authorities continue to monitor the situation and assess any potential impact in the affected area.
