Police have arrested two individuals on charges of violently robbing a foreign citizen in Tbilisi, the Georgian Interior Ministry said.
Ministry says the suspects assaulted the victim on one of the streets in the capital before stealing mobile phones and cash. They then fled the scene.
Law enforcement officers later identified and arrested both suspects through operational measures and investigative actions.
The Interior Ministry said the investigation is ongoing under Article 178 of Georgia’s Criminal Code, which covers robbery and carries a prison sentence of up to eight years.
