Minister of Culture Thea Tsulukiani stated that it would not be true to say that the leaving of three prominent members of the party is a common occurrence.

The case concerns Sozar Subari, Mikheil Kavelashvili, and Dimitri Khundadze who left the Georgian Dream political party.

“It is disappointing. I was in the Vatican when this happened and I learned about it through the media and I am very disappointed,” said Tsulukiani.

She emphasized that things happening behind the scenes cannot be fully spoken about publicly in any country, including Georgia.

“This may lead to other processes when you are a representative of the management team. It seems that our members wanted to provide more reality and information, in a higher dose, and they left us for that purpose. Let’s see what they have to say. Probably there is more to learn than what we already heard, and of course, the assessments will be made accordingly,” said Tsulukiani.
