Traffic will be fully restricted at First Republic Square from 23:00 on July 7 until 08:00 on July 21 due to the public screening of FIFA World Cup matches.

Tbilisi City Hall says the closure will affect the section of road between the intersection of Shota Rustaveli Avenue and First Republic Square and the intersection with Merab Kostava Street.

During the restriction period, vehicles will not be able to travel from Rustaveli Avenue toward First Republic Square. Drivers heading from Rustaveli Avenue toward Kostava Street will be diverted via Mikheil Javakhishvili and Merab Kostava streets.

Vehicles traveling from Mikheil Javakhishvili Street will not be able to access First Republic Square and will instead continue toward the Tbilisi State Concert Hall.

Traffic from Kostava Street will be permitted only in the direction of Rustaveli Avenue and Freedom Square.

Public transport routes will also be temporarily adjusted. When traveling from Marjanishvili Street toward Vake, the N359 bus will no longer enter First Republic Square from Mikheil Javakhishvili Street. Instead, it will continue along Kostava Street before rejoining its regular route. The route in the opposite direction will remain unchanged.

The N457 minibus will also be rerouted when traveling from Marjanishvili Street toward Rustaveli Avenue. Instead of entering First Republic Square from Mikheil Javakhishvili Street, it will continue along Tabukashvili Street, connect to Rustaveli Avenue via Lagidze Street, and then resume its usual route. The route in the opposite direction will remain unchanged.
