The Special Penitentiary Service of Georgia has published video footage of Mikheil Saakashvili’s placement in the 18th facility.
“Due to the high public interest, we are publishing video footage showing the accommodation of prisoner Mikheil Saakashvili in the 18th medical facility for accused and convicts, placement in the ward, and the fact that Saakashvili physically abused the staff of the institution and damaged medical equipment. The Ministry of Justice has already followed with the relevant legal response. The General Inspectorate of the Ministry of Justice has started an investigation into the incident,” reads the statement of the Special Penitentiary Service of Georgia.
