Solidarity rally for Ukraine to be held in Tbilisi on February 24

On February 24, the one-year anniversary of the start of Russia’s full-scale war in Ukraine, at 19:00, a Ukraine solidarity rally will be held near the Parliament building in central Tbilisi.

A charity marathon for the Ukrainian fund UNBROKEN will be launched at the rally, the main goal of which is to raise money for prostheses for servicemen, women and children injured by explosions.

“We the citizens of Georgia, political parties, civil society, representatives of various professions, and Ukrainians living here, will unite and hold a rally in front of the Parliament at 19:00. February 24 is the day Putin’s Russia launched a brutal war of conquest in Ukraine. This war continues to this day and it will most definitely end with the victory of Ukraine and the Georgian heroes fighting alongside Ukrainians.

“We the Georgian people understand well the price of fighting this evil, the price of freedom, the price of dignity, the price of victory over the enemy. For this reason, we the Georgian people have been in particular solidarity with the heroic Ukrainian people and with Ukraine from the moment the war started.

“On February 24, the one-year anniversary since the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine, we will unite and once again express our strong support for the heroes fighting for freedom and peace.

“Let’s unite and stand together for our heroes, for honor, for freedom, for Ukraine and Georgia! On February 24, let’s show where Georgia is and what Georgia is!

“Life will win over death, and light will win over darkness. Glory to Ukraine!” – announced the rally organizers.
