“I welcome Ukraine taking back Kherson. This is the result of Ukraine’s unity and resilience. A major step towards restoring its sovereignty and integrity. The Georgian people rejoice with you. #SlavaUkraini,” the President tweeted.
On November 9, Russia announced its withdrawal from Kherson. On November 11, it became known that the Ukrainian military is in Kherson, freed from Russian annexation. After 8 months of occupation, the local population greeted the Ukrainian army with cheers.
