Roth: Dear Georgians, you are not only fighting for Georgia, but for Europe, freedom & democracy

Dear Georgian friends- You are not only fighting for Georgia. You are fighting for Europe. You’re fighting for freedom and democracy, – Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the German Parliament (Bundestag), Michael Roth, thus responded to the Georgian Parliament’s move to override the President’s veto on the law “On Transparency of Foreign Influence”.

“Dear Georgian friends, I have just one message to you: You are not only fighting for Georgia. You are fighting for Europe. You’re fighting for freedom and democracy. WHEN THEY GO LOW, WE GO HIGH!”, he wrote on X.

Parliament overrode the President’s veto on the law “On transparency of foreign influence” yesterday. The draft law presented by the Georgian Dream faction and vetoed by Salome Zurabishvili was supported by 84 votes.
