The price of jet fuel has fallen to $139 per barrel, marking a 5% decrease compared to the previous week, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) said.
Despite the weekly decline, fuel prices remain 54% higher on an annual basis.
IATA data shows regional variation in jet fuel costs, with prices at $140 per barrel in Europe, $137 in North America, and $139 in Asia.
Earlier this year, prices surged above $200 per barrel in March during heightened Iran-US tensions, when global energy markets experienced significant volatility.
At the same time, crude oil prices have also declined on international markets, driven by easing geopolitical tensions and expectations linked to a US-Iran agreement.
